Last Will and Testament

A Will is simply a legal document which spells out how we want our personal property distributed after our death, who are our beneficiaries, who will care for our minor children, and who will be our executor (the person who is legally responsible for ensuring our wishes are carried out). Keep in mind, a Will may not be adequate for those wanting to avoid their loved ones having to navigate the probate process after we die; those wishing to create a Trust for children, grandchildren or other loved ones; or others seeking flexibility in protecting their financial legacy in ways that a Will may limit us from accomplishing.
